Slaughterhouse speaks on their album's delay, making a Black Hippy collabo a priority, and what other genres they listen to.
When Slaughterhouse's debut on Shady Records, welcome to: Our House, was delayed to an August release date, many fans wondered the reason. In a recent interview with Fuse, the four lyricists spoke on the matter.
"Too many different reasons, too many different variables with how we control the music," explained Joe Budden. "I mean, it gets to be an issue between label and retail, but I’m always grateful for more time.”
"It gives you more time to be creative, more time to promote and think of more ways to raise the awareness out there," added Budden. "It’s a great thing for me...8/28 is the final date."
Slaughterhouse also discussed teaming up with another quartet: Black Hippy, which is comprised of Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Schoolboy Q. "I spoke to Ab-Soul about it," said Budden. "It's just a natural thing. Them standing for the things that they stand for, very similar to the things that we stand for."
"Both being extremely lyrical supergroups...I'd like to try and make the inevitable happen. That's a priority for us. I'm gonna make that happen."
Slaughterhouse also discussed some possibly unexpected acts they listen to. "Kings of Leon, Hall and Oates, Barry White...I was listening to Secret Garden all yesterday," said Royce Da 5'9.
"Yesterday I was on my in-line skates listening to Radiohead," said Joell Ortiz. "Yeah, I do that. In these streets, G."
"I listen to Classical Music," said Crooked I. "Sometimes I don't want to hear a bunch of words, people yappin' all day. I hear enough of that just in my own music."

Slaughterhouse Announces Gangsta Grillz Mixtape Title "On The House" Slaughterhouse reveals the title "On the House" to its upcoming DJ Drama-hosted mixtape.
Even though Slaughterhouse revealed the tracklist and cover art to its upcoming Shady debut welcome to: Our House, the group is still planning to release a mixtape before the LP's August 28 drop date. Now, in a recent promo video, the Voltron crew announced the title of its upcoming DJ Drama-hosted mixtape.
While recording a new song titled "See Dead People," Joe Budden announced the name of the crew's upcoming Gangsta Grillz release On the House. Budden joked that the project was going to be "lightweight," with members sometimes spitting a hefty 60 bars per verse.
"So today is day whatever of [the recording of] the Slaughterhouse mixtape…On the House," Budden revealed. "That was pretty clever, naming the mixtape On the House. [It's] coming to you guys soon, very soon, before the album. These guys are rapping like robots. Took me a little while, but we got it there. Little lightweight - 56 bars, 58 bars, 60 bars of rapping. It's a mixtape, so you go as long as you want to go. We're just gonna go, yahmean?"
o strofa din ce-i mai sus face mai mult decat unele albume lansate in ultimul timp
ca sa fiu si putin hater: puteau sa aleaga si ei un beat care nu ma enerveaza dar trec asta cu vederea
