At 50 years of age, Sharon Jones is the sound of classic soul and funk. She's not trying to churn out some throwback junk. This is the real thing. And the same goes for her band, The Dapkings and pretty much anything on Daptone Records is good. I personally would have liked this album to be a bit funkier, but overall, there are no skips so you really can't complain. Buy this album, then check her out live to be really blown away.
