Not Rakim. Not G. Rap. Not Kane. Not Nas and not Jay has there ever been a rapper more important to this culture. From his contributions in N.W.A. to the dozens of executive produced albums. To all the soundtracks and movies he’s done. Sure a grip were completely forgettable but other than Will Smith how many rapper have given us the quality flicks such as Cube? Boyz N The Hood, Higher Learning, Friday, Three Kings, Barbershop just to name a few. Dude could have just done Boyz and still be one of the best rapper/actors we’ve ever seen.
From a technical stand point he may not be the best there was, but pound for pound Ice Cube is the greatest rapper of all-time. Take some time to recognize and appreciate O’Shea Jackson.
