United Music: First of all: why hip-hop?
Arianna Puello: Because it is a revolutionary and fighting music. A music that is urban and realistic.
United Music: How your parents feel about you being in the hip-hop industry? Do they like your music?
Arianna Puello: At the beginning my mother didn’t like the idea. But now, when my work is starting to be rewarded, they are really happy for me. They are proud of me, because I’ve managed to do what I wanted from the beginning.
And they like some themes. The melodious ones, you know. LOL!!!
United Music: I’m sure you get asked this all the time. Is it hard to be a woman in the hip-hop world?And what’s one of the toughest challenges you’ve faced so far as a female MC?
Arianna Puello: Ok, for me is not hard. I believe too much in me and this is the reason why everyone respects me.
A challenge was to prove that I am at the best level.
United Music: Do you feel it’s harder to get people to take you seriously?
I do not even think at such things. When I compose music, I have to like it. The only problem is if others will like it.
United Music: At what age did you start singing?
Arianna Puello: Since I was 17.
United Music: Tell me a few things about “N.O.Del KRIB”( Nacidos Originalmente del Karibe).
Arianna Puello: This was my first band with Bano. We were very revolutionary. And we still are. Bano will release an album, this year, and I’ll release my 5th one. Keep it real!
